Churches can help ‘Spread the Warmth’ this winter

Winter is a difficult season for older people, who often struggle to keep warm and experience isolation and loneliness at this time of year.

Age NI is launching their Spread the Warmth campaign to make winter better for older people. Why not get involved and help spread the warmth in your church and community by hosting a coffee morning.

Age NI Enterprises offer tailor–made products and services designed with the over 50s in mind. If you would like to arrange a free talk about our products and services at your coffee morning, tell us when you register.

Spread the Warmth Coffee Morning

There’s nothing like a warm cuppa and the company of good friends and family on a cold, wintry day to bring a smile to your face. But this winter thousands of older people will be suffering, cold and alone without the support of friends and family.

More than half of older people in Northern Ireland feel more isolated than ever from their local communities. You can help us Spread the Warmth and raise funds to care for older people for whom winter brings nothing but loneliness, ill–health and isolation. Please support us by organising a Coffee Morning in your area today.

Johnsons Coffee logoJohnsons Coffee  is supporting the Age NI Spread the Warmth Coffee Morning. You can register for free coffee by organising your own fundraising Coffee Morning for Age NI between October 2011 and February 2012.

Just organise a coffee morning and invite your family, friends and neighbours and raise money to help us care for older people this winter.

Register your coffee morning today to receive your fundraising pack and free coffee from Johnsons.
