Confirmation Weekend

Held from 16 – 18 March 2012 in Castlewellan Castle, this is a residential programme for young people who are preparing for confirmation during the coming season. It gives them and their leaders a chance to join together for a weekend of indoor and outdoor activities and to learn more about confirmation.

Have Faith in Relationship Tour

Down and Dromore works alongside various other faith groups and the Health Trusts in the area of relationships and sexual health.  In February we will be working together to promote an evening of training and information in the area of teenage relationships –for parents, teachers and youth leaders. Each workshop will be exactly the same although held in different venues around Belfast.

Holiday Bible Clubs

Julie is hoping to partner with 2–4 parishes that may want to run a club for the first time in the summer of 2012. The aim is to recruit a team of young people and train this team alongside a team from your own parish. If this applies to you, or if you haven’t run a Holiday Bible Club for a long time, please

Summer Madness

Each year around 20 parishes in the diocese send young people to this event. There is help available from our department in how to organize a group and even to work with other parishes to take a mixed group there. The dates are Friday 29 June to Tuesday 3 July 2012. Summer Madness now has a new venue in the Glenarm Castle grounds. Please contact Andrew for more information.
