Stewards needed at St Anne’s Cathedral

Stewards provide a valuable service at St Anne’s Cathedral in welcoming visitors, providing information and responding to queries about the Cathedral. Generally they contribute a few hours each week/month on a rota basis – usually a ‘two hour shift’.

The Cathedral would welcome new volunteers to boost the current number. The main criteria are a friendly and welcoming manner and an ability to communicate information about the Cathedral (training will be provided). Visitors come from all parts of the world as well as Ireland, North and South.

Recent publicity relating to the ‘Titanic anniversary’ and indeed, other events planned for Belfast and elsewhere in the province, anticipates that we will be experiencing greater visitor numbers in Belfast. Hopefully this will also increase the number of visitors to the Cathedral.

If you are interested or could encourage anyone in your parish to volunteer, please do get in touch as soon as possible.
