Great Big Photo Festival … Final Call for Photos!

St. Columba’s, Kings Road, Knock, is hosting their very first great big photo festival. Over the course of the weekend 27 –29 April. The whole weekend is celebrating the art of photography on the theme of “What a Wonderful World” and we have recieved photos from all over ireland.

We would love to include your photos and we have made it even easier to submit them. Simply leave your mounted prints in the Good Book Shop before 3.00pm on Thursday 26th April with either a donation for our Zambia Team appeal (min £3 per photo. Cheques can be made Payable to St. Columba’s parish church) .

Post them to Revd Robert Ferris at 3 Sandown Park South, Belfast, BT5 6HE. If you wish your photos to be returned please make sure your name and address is on the back of them.

The Programme

During the weekend the parish church will be open from 1.00–4.00pm on Friday 27, 9:30–4.00pm on Saturday 28 and 1.00–3.00pm on Sunday 29. During the weekend visitors will be encouraged to pause in church, to look around the images which will be displayed in various categories, enjoy fellowship over a cup of tea / coffee and spend a bit of time in the surroundings of the church.

On Saturday morning from 10.30 – 11.30am, Revd Robert Ferris will lead a photo walk up to and around the Stormont Estate (weather dependent). All are welcome to bring their cameras and take some photos and share tips enroute.

On Saturday afternoon from 2:30 – 4:30 we will hold a drop–in workshop at the back of church covering digital photo editing and online storage / sharing. Just bring your laptop and photos and any questions will hopefully be answered.
