A Pentecost message from The Bible Society NI

Translation is a core ministry of many Bible Societies around the world.

There are literally thousands of Scripture translation and Revision projects at different stages of progress, running at any given moment. Bible Society teams are currently at work on 476 translation projects all over the earth … from Canada to South America, from Europe to Russia, from China to New Zealand… and everywhere in between!

Let’s never forget that God is the master of all language, more than that, He is the creator of language! He can speak to all people in their own tongue and it is our prayer that one day soon, all people will know that!

The day of Pentecost was an incredible day in the life of the early Church and it remains an incredible day for all believers – the day the Holy Spirit came in power to comfort, guide and teach us. It was also a very clear message from our great God that He does indeed have a message for people of all nations, cultures and language groups! Let us pray that many more will soon be able to read, hear and understand God’s word in their own language.

‘…a crowd gathered. But they were surprised, because they were hearing everything in their own languages.’ Acts 2:6
