Vacancy for a rector, Killinchy

The Parish of Killinchy Union seeks to appoint an energetic rector.

The parish is situated in a rural area, midway between Newtownards and Downpatrick. The village of Killinchy, the hamlet of Kilmood and the village of Ballygowan, all of which have increasing housing developments, are within the parish. A spacious, modern rectory overlooks the shores of Strangford Lough.

The Parish comprises 280 families, has two churches, each with a main Sunday Service, and two extensively modernised parish halls. There are growing Sunday Schools in both churches and a number of active parish organisations. There are excellent educational and recreational facilities available in the area.
