Bishop Harold is guest speaker at school’s Jubilee Assembly

Bishop Harold was a guest speaker at Brooklands Primary School in Dundonald as they celebrated the Diamond Jubilee with a special assembly on 30 May. He was accompanied by Moira Parish’s youth worker, Simon Henry, who addressed the lower school.

Also present were Northen Ireland’s First Minister, Rt. Hon. Peter Robinson MLA,  the Lord Lieutenant of County Down, David Lindsay, Esq. and rector of Ballybeen, Revd Mark Harvey.

The Bishop gave out some special Jubilee editions of the New Testament, reminding the children that the most precious gift the Queen received upon her coronation was the Bible, and he and Simon were presented with commemorative Jubilee glass tumblers.
