New Appointment for St. Saviour’s, Craigavon

Sunday 29th July marked a new beginning in the life of St. Saviour’s, Craigavon, as Capt. Matthew Rowley was appointed Church Army Pioneer Evangelist for the parish of Craigavon.

Matt Rowley, who originally comes from Stoke on Trent, was commissioned in Sheffield by Church Army in July 2012 after four years of mission based training.

Matt’s new and exciting role will include community outreach and ministry to young families in the area. Matt has already planned a Summer Party event for young families on Saturday afternoon 18 August with food, fun and games for the whole family in St. Saviour’s.

Church Army is about communicating the unchanging message of an unchanging God to a fast–changing culture. Our evangelists continue to reach out and make church effective by meeting people where they are, and by creating fresh and relevant expressions of Christian community.

Church Army shares faith through words and action to transform lives by making Jesus famous. Our focus is on the 7 out of 10 people who have little or no meaningful contact with church.

Church Army has over 300 Evangelists in a variety of situations across the UK and Ireland.
