What ‘The Hunger Games’ tell us about sacrificial love

What ‘The Hunger Games’ tell us about sacrificial love is a question the Damaris Trust can help you explore with your 18–30 year olds.

Viewfinder is a church–service resource aimed at reaching this age group, which research by the Evangelical Alliance has identified as a missing generation in many UK churches. Each service is shaped around a recent film and uses film clips and interviews to think about a relevant issue and appropriately introduce the Gospel.

The fifth edition is now available at www.viewfinderservices.org. The service uses clips from blockbuster action movie The Hunger Games (now out on DVD) to help 18–30 year olds think about sacrificial love. A full script and PowerPoint is provided.

Coming soon: Another new service will be released this September, shaped around the fantasty–adventure starring Kristen Stewart, Snow White and the Huntsman (ahead of the DVD release on 1 October). This service explores our fascination with fairy tales and the battle between good and evil.
