Calling all organists…

This year the Parish of Magheralin is delighted to be hosting a ‘Festival of Christmas Trees’. This is a form of creative outreach to our local community which seeks to tell the Christmas story from creation to Calvary and beyond through creatively themed and decorated Christmas trees.

In order to add atmosphere and create a sense of worship as people enjoy the festival, I hope to provide suitable music. This is where I hope that you can help me. I am inviting every organist in the Diocese of Down and Dromore to join with us as we celebrate the true meaning of Christmas in this unique way.

Could you join us for an hour to play our magnificent Forster and Andrews, Hull 1891 Organ in the Parish Church in Magheralin? Would you be available on Friday 30 November or Saturday 1 December between 10.00 am and 10.00 pm to play and provide some festive music to ensure that our visitors experience is enhanced?

I would be delighted to hear from you if you would be able to commit just one hour (or more if you are willing) to partner with us, to share the gift of music and to help our wider community engage with the Christmas story in a more meaningful way.

Please contact me on 07783032766 or at grahamhare@hotmail.co.uk as soon as possible to secure your preferred time to join us over our very special festival weekend.

Graham Hare
