Well it has been wonderful to be back with my Maridi family! Having the three Bishops together has been the answer to many prayers.
As a team, we have been truly blessed. The amazing welcome and the joy of all the children as they sang us into the compound!
Maridi has come a long way in the eleven years I have been visiting and I look forward already to returning! There is still so much need and my visit to a church yesterday, where people have suffered from the LRA was heartbreaking and reminded me so much of the pain I saw here in the early days, when the people had begun to return from the refugee camps. With the support of the church they are now trying to forgive the pain of the past and rebuilding their lives.
The new school buildings at Haddow Primary School are a positive reminder of the wonderful work that can be achieved through Partnership.
