Please pray for Mali
In Mali, fighting between Islamist rebel groups in the north and government troops is intensifying. “All the churches in the north have been destroyed and the Christians there are being persecuted,” says Jacques Dembele, the Bible Society’s General Secretary. “Refugees are flooding into the south with literally nothing.”
With the help of the French Bible Society, the Bible Society of Mali is providing food for hundreds of refugee families and Bibles for those who are Christians. “Although we’re going through an unprecedented crisis we can see the hand of God through the unconditional love of our friends,” says Mr Dembele.
Give thanks for the partnerships that have brought encouragement. Please pray for the Bible Society as they offer love and whatever assistance they are able to give to the vast numbers of people who have become refugees in Mali.
