Bible Society helps those fleeing Syria

More than 260,000 Syrians have fled into Lebanon seeking shelter from their war–torn home.

The Bible Society of Lebanon (BSL) has responded by providing relief packages and Scriptures.

“Our relief team visited a very poor area in Beirut recently and discovered that Syrian refugees are living in very difficult conditions,” says BSL General Secretary Dr Mike Bassous.

“We gave more than 200 families relief packages of food and other necessities, as well as Arabic Scriptures. As we were giving these out, another 80 or so families turned up, needing help. These Syrian refugees desperately need help and hope. Please pray that this example of Jesus’ love and the message of His Word, will bring comfort and encouragement to these homeless and traumatised people.”

Pray also for Bible Society of Lebanon as they minister among thousands of refugees arriving every single day.
