Bible Society NI Resources for Churches
Following on from the interest in our first Resources Disk last autumn, which focused on China, BSNI is pleased to offer a new window on Bible ministry.
If your church shares our commitment to the centrality of God’s Word to our faith, and believes that others should share the wonderful truth of the Bible, then this is a resource for you!
The material has been compiled specifically with churches in mind, and contains 5 short videos, posters to print and display, plus 2 useful PowerPoints. The disk concentrates on Scripture translation abroad and is designed for use in a Sunday Worship setting or Midweek prayer group, or it could even be adapted for use in youth and children’s ministries. The style is direct and succinct – one of the videos lasts only 65 seconds.
There is a real need for our Churches to pray and support Scripture translation and distribution so that others can enjoy the gift of God’s Word in their own language – a privilege we often do not appreciate as we should. For those churches with access to projection equipment, the visual medium is an excellent way of helping people to appreciate the excitement of others as they receive a Bible for the first time.
We have sent a disk to those churches where we know there is a Mission Committee, but we are conscious that the majority of Churches have yet to receive one.
