Love for Life offers text support service for young people
Can U Help, a tailored text support service for young people with relationships and sexuality concerns, is now available as a welcome extension of the work Love for Life provides across Northern Ireland.
The service offers a way that young people can ask a question of a doctor around issues that concern them in the area of relationships and sexual health and be given information and if necessary signposting to available help and support.
“We are delighted to be able to offer this service and are seeing many young people with all sorts of questions and concerns accessing the service for help and direction,” said Judith Cairns, CEO of Love for Life.
The easily remembered number for young people to text is 078 078 078 48 and posters are now available for noticeboards in youth premises and other venues.
CAN U Help is supported through project funding from South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust and Belfast Health and Social Care Trust.
