Seagoe Confirmation
On Sunday 5 May Bishop Harold conducted a service of Baptism and Confirmation in Seagoe Parish. One candidate was baptised and confirmed, whilst 14 others were confirmed.
This is the first time for many years that one of the candidates has been both baptised and confirmed at the same time.
The church was well–filled with family and friends of the candidates in addition to the regular church family coming to support the candidates – about 450 people in all.
During the service two of the candidates gave their testimonies describing how they made the decision to follow Jesus at a young age and how the Lord has helped them up to this point in their lives. Other candidates led the scripture readings and prayers.
Bishop Harold met with members of the congregation over breakfast before the service and again at a reception following.
