About the mission

‘Walk Cornwall 2′ will take place from 21 September – 13 October 2013, and is a mission to the whole of Cornwall taking the Gospel outside the church walls and into the community.

In 1993, there was a six–week walk mission dubbed ‘The Walk of 1,000 Men’. This was a local ecumenical initiative, set up by church leaders from across the Duchy and facilitated by Through Faith Missions.

‘Walk Cornwall 2′ will last for three weeks commencing in West Cornwall and progressing eastwards, involving as many different churches as possible as they step out in faith to do something beautiful for God and the Gospel.

The Walk will offer a whole range of activities and events including:

  • A strong emphasis on visiting people where they are (in their homes, pubs and workplaces)

  • Involvement with young people

  • Encouraging evangelism and a willingness to innovate and do new things
