Foundations evening looks at prayer

Erika Frank was the speaker at the 3rd of the Foundations Ireland ‘Calling’ meetings at the Dock Cafe in Titanic.

‘Calling’ is a bi–monthly open gathering to encourage the personal discipleship of participants and has been a huge draw so far. This month about one hundred 20s and 30s came together to think about prayer.

The evening, which began with a BBQ in the sunshine, also included worship and some practical prayer exercises alone and in groups. Bishop Alan Abernethy, Connor, was a guest and spoke about the importance of this generation to the church and the role of prayer.

Another strand in the Foundations programme, ‘Character’ will begin in September this year. It’s a two–year process for those who want to develop the Christian characteristics of mission and leadership that influence every part of our work, social and church life.

Those interested can keep up with Foundations through social media or get in touch with Andrew Brannigan.
