A Summer of Bible Club fun!

It’s the Holiday Bible Club season and there’s lots going on in the diocese including Pirates Ahoy! and Monsters Stink! last week in Moira and Bangor Parishes respectively.

Annalong Parish had their Bible Club in the first week of June (right). “We had lots of fun with 60–70 children each night,” says Rector, Revd Bill Press. Our theme was ‘Treasure Seekers’ and the treasure we found was Jesus! Lots of great leaders and helpers and children came from all over our village.”

Ballyholme have just run their ‘Jumpin’ Holiday Bible Club for primary school children which was also a great success.

And there’s more…! From the 19 – 23 of August Ballyholme will be running “Xcess” for anybody going into year 8 right up to those who have just finished year 14 (or who are 18).

“Xcess has two sessions each day,” says Ballyholme Youth Worker, Jade Irwin. “The afternoon session is a drop–in with a cafe and optional workshops (such as learning instruments, filming, dance, baking, jewellery design, rapping). The evening is set out like a big show, and the first half of the show is Mainstage with game shows, leaders’ challenge and the talk. The second half will be a concert with bands playing.”

Bible Clubs still to come in August…
