Archbishop Welby calls for renewal of prayer
The Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Revd Justin Welby, has called for a renewal of prayer and the life of religious communities, saying “there has never been a renewal of the Church in Western Europe” without it.
In a major and inspiring speech at a New Wine England conference earlier this month, Archbishop Welby said there had been “a fresh outpouring of the Spirit in worship” over the past 10 years, saying: “it’s been the most amazing thing to see the depth of worship growing and deepening.”
