Archdeacon does a pastoral visit ‘on the run’

Church of Ireland ordinand, Alastair Donaldson, set off to run around the perimeter of Ireland on the 1 of July. On Thursday he bumped into the Archdeacon of Down, David McClay and his wife Hilary, who were enjoying a walk in Co Donegal!

David took a moment to pray for Alastair, and sent him on his way. He is twenty days from the end of his marathon ‘Run4Christ’ – 52 marathons (1298 miles – 8 weeks 3 days), sharing the Gospel, preaching in each stop–off location and devoting Sunday to the Lord.

The run is an initiative seeking to expose many people on the Island of Ireland to the amazing Good News of Jesus Christ; His death, resurrection and ascension; and what it means for their own lives.

Before going to the Theological Institute, Alastair spent a couple of years ministering in Annalong Parish in the Diocese of Dromore.
