Join us tonight at the Bishop’s Bible Week

Join us in Shankill Church tonight and for the rest of the week for worship and teaching at the seventh Bishop’s Bible Week.

Our host will be Bishop Ken Clarke and for only the second time, Bishop Harold will speak, having felt “A real call of God to do so”.

He said, “The call from the Lord went something like this: ‘A bishop is to be a leader in mission for the diocese. So lead the people in mission, starting with the Acts of the Apostles’.”

So, this week we will be looking at the very foundations of mission in the early church under the title, ‘We’re on a Mission’:

Tuesday 27th AugustThe Preparation of Prayer

Wednesday 28 AugustThe Pouring Out of The Spirit at Pentecost

Thursday 29 AugustThe Preaching of Penitence

Friday 30 AugustThe Practical Practice

Each night the readings will be read from Tom Wright’s ‘For Everyone’ translation of the New Testament. See the special offers at the Good Book Shop stall!

Please also pick up your Year of Mission banners at the back of the church and don’t forget to visit the 24/7 Prayer Room.

Venue: Shankill Parish Church, Lurgan

Time: each evening at 7.45 pm
