Paint and Pastor’s Houses in Maridi
Bishop Justin sends us greetings from our brothers and sisters in Maridi, South Sudan. Here is a little of what is happening in the diocese:
Work is continuing on the Mothers’ Union hall and will soon be completed
The nursery school has been painted with a gift from the Kilkeel Parish Toddler Group (pictured right, before and after).
The construction work on pastors’ houses is progressing very well. Next week another house will be completed and they move on to start work in another parish.
Bishop Justin has travelled to Yambio for five days and on Friday 16 August Mama Joyce and four other Mothers’ Union members are travelling to Juba for a three day conference.
“We are all doing well,” says the Bishop, “and now preparing the Church to start the week of witness in the first week of September.”
The week of witness is a time for visiting every home in the diocese, bringing the gospel message and praying with believers. Let’s remember to pray for that!
