Magheralin Parish is running a Parenting Course from 2 October

Danny and Sheri Silk have raised over 70 children — some of them their own, some foster children, and some in an orphanage. They know what they’re talking about. ‘Loving Our Kids On Purpose: Preparing Our Kids for the Kingdom of God,’ shares some of the nuggets of wisdom they’ve learned over the decades of parenting dozens of children.

Magheralin Parish is hosting a 9–session DVD series on parenting on Wednesday evenings from 2 October to 27 November. Whether you have a newborn, a 5–year old, a 13–year old, or even if you don’t have children yet, we’ll learn together how:

  • You don’t have to intimidate children

  • Your children can grow in security and confidence

  • Your children can manage increasing levels of responsibility

Childcare will be provided by dedicated childminders. Couples are highly encouraged to attend this series together so that you are on the same page and can properly support one another in parenting your children.

When:

9 Wednesday evenings, 2 October to 27 November. (On the first night of 2 October the RedDoor will provide dinner and so we will start at 6:30pm and end by 8:30pm).

Where:

RedDoor Lounge (3 Newforge Road, Magheralin, BT67 0QJ)

Register: Please phone Ann in the parish office 028 9261 9569 to pre–register so that we know how much food to prepare, how many childminders we need, and how many workbooks to order

Cost:

£20 one–time fee per couple will cover the cost of the workbook for each couple and help defray the costs for meals and childminding for all 9 weeks.

Contact:

Any questions or concerns? — Please phone/text Revd Harry Zeiders on: 077 2027 4343.
