Check out Willowfield’s great new website

It’s worth paying a visit to Willowfield Church’s brand new website found at their old address of www.willowfieldchurch.co.uk.

The project was managed by Stephen Mayes who is the creative talent behind the parish’s print and online publications. The new interface was designed by a parishioner and graphic designer, Alice McKee, and the content management system is by our old friends Thought Collective.

‘It’s very IOS 7 ish’ was one admiring comment (some of you will know what we’re talking about) because ‘flat and thin are in’.

Yes it is lovely to look at, but does it do the job? I think so, covering all the bases for visitors – first time and regulars – in a very simple and clear cut way. It’s hard to get lost!

Better still, the site also has a mobile version, easily navigated on a tablet or smartphone which are the tools that more and more of us are using to go online these days. Check it out on your phone.

One of our goals as a diocese is for every parish to have a website well ahead of the Year of Mission 2015, even if they are already using Facebook and or Twitter. We’re working on this at the moment and intend to be able to offer parishes of every size an easily managed and effective site.

More news on that to follow but in the meantime, congratulations to Willowfield on their lovely new home.
