Clergy wives enjoy a Saturday brunch

‘Everything changes when we know that we’re loved’. That was Methodist President, Revd Dr Heather Morris’ message to the Down and Dromore clergy wives who gathered for brunch last Saturday morning.

We felt very much loved and spoiled when we sat down at the beautifully set tables, complete with a gift for each person, in Mount Merrion Church. After time to chat, Zara Monteith led us in worship before Heather shared from 1 John 4:7–21. She encouraged us not only to, ‘know and rely on the love God has for us’ (v.16) but also to love and care for one another as clergy wives. And so it was appropriate that we ended the morning by praying with and for one another.

Thanks to Heather, Zara and Liz Miller and to Linda Green and her team who gave us such a warm welcome and very tasty brunch.
