CIEF announce their 2014 programme

The Church of Ireland Evangelical Fellowship has recently announced details of its 2013–14 programme of events.

The theme this year is “Growing Christian Communities” and the first event, Sub–titled “A Biblical Perspective” will be on Wednesday 20 November in Magheralin Parish Hall (3 Newforge Road, Magheralin, Craigavon, BT67 0QJ) at 8.00 pm.

The guest speaker will be The Right Rev Ferran Glenfield, Bishop of Kilmore, Elphin and Ardagh, who will highlight some experiences of the Church from the Scriptures and help us discover how we should seek to grow as a faithful Church in an ever changing and challenging world.

Having previously ministered in Co Cork, Dublin and Hillsborough, Bishop Ferran has a wide ranging experience of Parish Ministry, which, coupled with his distinct interest in Biblical teaching, will bring much insight to the topic.

The second in the series will be “Growing Rural Christian Communities”, with Bishop Ken Clarke, to be held on Wednesday 26 February 2014 at 8.00 pm in Fivemiletown Parish Hall.

The final one in the series will be Growing New Christian Communities and is scheduled for May 2014 in the Belfast area.

All are welcome and light refreshments will be served. For further information please contact CIEF Hon Secretary, Rev Malcolm Kingston, on 028 3833 2664.
