Double honours for Seagoe Church Girls’ Brigade Company

Seagoe’s Church Girls’ Brigade choir had the honour of singing at the recent Church Lads’ and Church Girls’ Brigade Annual Dinner at Brownlow House, Lurgan.

The Archbishop of Armagh, The Most Reverend Richard Clarke, and the Brigade National Secretary, Martin Lambourne, were the guests of honour and before the meal was served the girls (pictured below) sang a mix of sacred and secular songs.

Following dinner, presentations were made to the new Commanding Officer of the Ulster Regiment, Melvyn Lockhart, and to his outgoing predecessor, Darryl Hewitt. Melvyn was presented with his scroll of office by the Archbishop and Darryl was appointed a Deputy Governor by the National Secretary. The new Commanding Officer also announced that his second in command was to be Irene Hewitt from the Seagoe Company.
