Despite ceasefire, the need in Maridi is great
In the wake of the welcome ceasefire agreement between South Sudan’s government and rebels we continue to pray for a lasting peace in this youngest of countries.
Please remember to give to the diocesan appeal for South Sudan and specifically our link diocese of Maridi. The need there is still great after the influx of displaced and frightened people who the church is trying to help. read about the immediate needs in an earlier article here.
Pictured below, the relief efforts in the diocesan compound sent to us by Revd Martin. The little child (above) is one whose mother was shot dead in the first opposition attack on Malakal. She was found after three days with other one sister and a brother and arrived in the compound a few days ago.
