Prayer training takes place at Movilla

On Monday 17 February, the diocese held its second 24–7 Prayer training evening in Movilla Abbey, Newtownards, with 50 in attendance representing 11 churches.

Tash Creaney from 24–7 Prayer Ireland was our trainer. Tash is an experienced and enthusiastic exponent of 24–7 Prayer and is doing an excellent job on the ground coordinating our prayer chain. She shared lots of advice about the practicalities surrounding prayer room set–up, managing the rota (especially through the nights) and setting up prayer stations.

We also had a chance to get creative when we brainstormed prayer station ideas around a number of themes. Some great ideas were shared. As one participant said, ‘It’s amazing what you can produce under pressure!’

All of our parishes will receive training ahead of their time with the prayer scroll and the next evening is scheduled for 7 April in Annalong.
