Care for the Family host Widowed Young Support Day in Northern Ireland

You or perhaps someone you know has had to cope with the premature loss of a partner.  Care for the Family recognise that one of the most positive things people with this experience can do, is to create some time and space just for themselves.

Care for the Family are hosting a support day at Moira Baptist on 17 May 2014, 9.30 am to 4.30 pm, for those who are living with the premature loss of a partner up to and including the age of 50, or older if you still have dependent children.

The day will be an opportunity to relax in the company of people who understand first hand the pain of loss.  It will be a safe, supportive environment and an ideal place to discover some fresh perspectives and renew your strength, purpose and hope for the future

Some of the issues covered in the sessions include:

  • How to respond to feelings of guilt, anger and despair

  • Strategies you can use to help overcome the pain of loss and shattered dreams

  • Practical ideas for coping through the tough times

  • Comfort, hope and a way forward

The cost of attending is £20 and includes lunch and refreshments.
