Student Support Worker (Assistant Chaplain) The Hub, QUB

We are seeking to appoint a full time Student Support Worker (Assistant Chaplain) 

This is a strategic role in assisting the work of the Chaplain in all aspects of ministry on campus, including:

  • building and maintaining pastoral relationships

  • engaging in outreach on campus and across the wider church

  • initiating and delivering on key student programs and activities

  • growing young adults into servant hearted leaders

  • discipling people into faith and in their faith

  • providing oversight and direction to the Internship program

  • engaging in and contributing to the rich and diverse life of the Church of the Resurrection, (the chapel of the Chaplaincy)

The successful applicant will be required to live in the accommodation provided, as part of the Chaplaincy complex. This is a substantial family home and further details are available in the information pack. Living in the accommodation provided is a fundamental part of the role and is non–negotiable.

The successful applicant will be in agreement with the ethos and core values of the Chaplaincy.

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Friday 11 April 2014. Interviews will commence week beginning 28 April, 2014.

The successful applicant will be expected to take up the position in early August.
