Congratulations to Agnes Major on her 100th birthday!

Saturday 3rd May was a very special day in St. Finnians house Cregagh as the residents, staff and friends gathered for a 100th birthday celebration for St. Finnians parishioner Agnes Major.

Agnes was a lifelong member of St. Nicholas’s parish on the Lisburn road until moving to St. Finnians house in more recent years. She was thrilled to receive the customary greetings from the Queen and from President Michael D. Higgins from the Irish Republic.

Agnes was delighted to receive a visit and card from Bishop Harold and St. Finnians rector, Canon Jonathan Pierce, also called with a card and cake from the parishioners of St Finnian’s. And all this ahead of a family celebration the next day!

Many congratulations to Agnes on this wonderful occasion.
