Down Cathedral’s new website goes live

Trinity Sunday was a fitting day to announce the launch of a new website for the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity in Downpatrick (popularly known as Down Cathedral).

Down Cathedral is the Cathedral Church of the Church of Ireland Diocese of Down and here the Bishop has his episcopal seat (Cathedra). The present Dean of Down is the Very Revd Henry Hull.

The Cathedral hosts major festivals and services for the Diocese, the highlight being the annual St Patrick’s Day celebrations on 17 March. It is also home to a small congregation who worship here Sunday by Sunday.

The Cathedral is open every day for daily prayer and because of its unique situation and historic association with St Patrick it serves as a focal point for Christians of all denominations. The mortal remains of the saint close by.

On the website you will find information about services and events in Down Cathedral and a little about its history and ongoing ministry today.
