Vacancy for Youth and Children’s Coordinator, Dublin

Kill O The Grange Church of Ireland, Dublin, seeks to employ a Youth and Children’s Coordinator.

We are a lively and growing Christian community in South Dublin with an enthusiastic group of children, young people and volunteers. This is an exciting opportunity to join our ministry team and church family.

Role

  • To develop, enhance and embrace the vision our church has for the Children and Youth, which is “to enable and encourage each individual child and young person to love and serve the Lord Jesus, and share in the ministry of our church.”

  • To encourage children and young people to grow in a living faith in the Lord Jesus and to oversee a relevant pastoral care structure especially for teenagers and young adults.

  • To actively participate in and lead youth and children’s activities.

  • To continually evaluate and strategically assess, with staff and volunteer teams, all youth and children’s programmes and activities and identify new opportunities.

  • To develop, implement and participate in imaginative, challenging but yet realistic programmes for children and young people, both within collective worship and all other activities.

  • To encourage, train and support volunteer leaders and teams committed to children’s and youth work and provide prayerful, practical support to them in their roles.

  • To communicate effectively and ensure strong coordination and links are developed between our various youth and children’s activities, to ensure consistency of vision and teaching between the groups.

  • To work closely with all members of the church’s staff and ministry teams. To coordinate, as appropriate, activities with other local churches and Christian groups.

  • To actively participate in and develop, with the support of volunteers, additional special events and activities as appropriate, including outreach.

  • To maintain and strengthen a strong link with Kill O’ The Grange Nation School.

  • To administer, and ensure compliance with the church of Ireland “Safeguarding Trust” Guidelines in all our activities.
