Gunfire in Maridi – please pray
We have received this news by email from Bishop Justin in our link diocese of Maridi. Please pray for an end to the insecurity which began on 3 July.
Bishop Justin writes:
“Last night we had gunshots in Maridi which continued up to midnight. Most people are now in the bush. This morning we have found two bodies down and many injuries. This morning there is calm in the town. We pray that nothing bad will continue…
“This evening there was an exchange of fire again which has made people to evacuate the town for safety. We have remain here at the church with some pastors families and the Americans doing translation. They have ordered for a plane to take them out tomorrow.
“We appreciate your continued prayers for us. Thank you.”
