Children say it with poppies at Shankill’s Remembrance service

This is the beautiful cross made by those who attended the Remembrance Service at Shankill Parish’s Eleven30 in the Jethro Centre

The adults responded to the morning’s message by placing poppies in the cross as a sign of their commitment, not only to remembering the past, but also their commitment to building a better future for our children and the generations yet to come.

When the children returned for the closing worship they spontaneously came up and added their own poppies to the cross which was a moving sight.

Throughout this week let us remember the call of Jesus to be ‘peacemakers’ and not ‘troublemakers!’

With thanks to Shankill Parish
