Pray for peace in the Bible Lands

As violence escalates again in Israel/ Palestine, the Bible Lands Team (embracing the work of the Palestinian Bible Society, Arab Israeli Bible Society and Bible Society in Israel) has appealed for the Bible Society Fellowship around the world to pray for peace. Please stand with them in prayer in these ongoing days of tension, violence and uncertainty.

“There is a lot of tension in Jerusalem around Al–Aqsa Mosque/Temple Mount,” says Labib Madanat, who leads the Bible Lands Team. “There is also violence around Hebron, in Galilee – both Lower (Galilee) and around Nazareth.”

“We ask you to pray that…

  • Against all odds our peoples will reach a point of mutual respect and peaceful living.

  • Our peoples do not descend to religious style wars fuelled by extremists and radicals.

  • Leaders will have wisdom and be God–fearing, to calm the situation and not agitate emotions.

  • The church/body of Messiah will intercede on behalf of our beloved peoples and land and tell the good news of Christ in word and deed.”

Give thanks for the Bible Society ministries in this difficult part of the world. Pray for the protection of our Father upon the Bible Society teams as well as churches, believers and other Christian agencies. May His light shine and His kingdom come.
