Tribute to Revd Canon Jack Mercer
“Canon Jack Mercer had retired before I came to the diocese, but I had the privilege of getting to know him in his retirement. He was so blessed to have 24 years of ministry in those years, and was a blessing to every person with whom he came in touch. Jack was a lovely and godly man, and we mourn his loss.
“He died on Maundy Thursday, will be put to rest on Easter Eve, and in Christ, is a partaker of the Resurrection.”

Canon Mercer’s funeral will be on Saturday 4 April at 12 noon in St Columbanus, Ballyholme.
