Thanks, for a lifetime of service
Members of the Castlewellan parish community met at a local hotel recently for a meal and presentation to acknowledge a remarkable lifetime of service of two much loved office holders, recently retired.
Doris McCracken served as honorary treasurer and Desmond Linton as honorary secretary to the Select Vestry for, between them, a total of 85 years. Both have contributed much to the life of Castlewellan Parish throughout their lives and the rector and parish wanted to publicly acknowledge their diligence.
Select Vestry members enjoyed a beautiful meal together with guests who included Mrs Georgina Greer, wife of a former Rector.
