Ballybeen Mission reaffirms commitment to the community

The ‘What If?’ mission at St Mary’s Ballybeen got off to a great start last Saturday with a Community Fun Day, including a magician, puppets, dance demos and mini–classes, inflatables, a BBQ and much more.

After a busy week, Rector of St Ballybeen, Canon Mark Harvey says:

“‘What If..?’ has been an opportunity for those on the fringes of church to explore questions of faith in a variety of settings and also for us as a church to reaffirm our commitment to the local community here in Ballybeen. Archdeacon Morris Rodham has engaged with different groups in a thought–provoking and challenging way, and has enabled us to be confident in reaching out to those around us.

“As we approach our final weekend, please pray for separate events for youth, 20s/30s, men and women, and for our final services on Sunday. Please also pray for the Alpha Course starting in The Lewis on Monday 12 October.

“We are excited about the work of God among us this week and what lies ahead!”
