Sign up for the Bible Certificate Course

The Bible is a vital component of our Christian walk and worship and one of the ways its importance is reflected in the diocese is by the Bishop’s Certificate Course.

Ten students have just completed and enjoyed the two–year course; why not consider taking it yourself? It will enrich your personal Bible study and may even challenge you to develop a calling or ministry.

The course runs on one evening each week for seven weeks per term over three terms and those who successfully complete both years receive a certificate signed by Bishop Harold. Year One begins again in early October 2015.

Topics covered include: Why is the Bible so important?; How did the Bible come to us?;  Why is the nation of Israel so important?; What we can understand of the God of the Bible?; Who is Jesus?; What is the message of the four gospels?; What does St. Paul tell us?; and much more.

  • The classes are relaxed and interactive (and include a coffee break!)

  • There is some coursework but it is not onerous and is chiefly for your benefit

  • There is secure parking at Church House

The course is organized and taught by Canon Robert Neill, Rector of Drumbo and takes place in Church House, Donegall Street, Belfast.
