Food for body and soul at Magheralin’s Big Harvest Festival
The folk of Magheralin and Dollingstown have been treated to 5 days of superb food and music thanks to the parish’s ‘Big Festival for You at Harvest’.
There were beautiful afternoon teas and 3 festival evenings with the opportunity to ‘taste and see’ quality food before enjoying exceptional music from artists Joanne Hogg, Sylvia Burnside, Vicki Schmidt and Jonathan Rea.
Magheralin Church grounds and halls hosted a fun filled Saturday Festival Market with local artisan food producers, farmers, restaurateurs and craftspeople selling their wares. There was entertainment for all the family with a Dixieland band, buskers, Silly Tilly the clown, face painters, popcorn, and balloon modelling.
The festival was peppered with opportunities to hear personal stories from the church community and powerful messages of God changing lives from special guest PJ Booth. Everyone was invited back to church to celebrate Harvest in the Sunday services on 25 October.
