St Donard’s ‘Recharge’ Mission in full swing

St Donard’s, Bloomfield, is over halfway through their week of outreach which began with a delicious Ladies Breakfast in the brand new Parish Centre. The centre will officially open in mid–November but in the meantime it is proving a big draw.

Other events over the week have included a hugely successful Pudding and Pamper Evening, a Seniors Tea Party, Family Film Night and a great evening of competitive 10–pin bowling.

Not to be left out, on Wednesday night the men (30/40s) enjoyed a wonderful curry at Shimla Indian Cuisine on the Woodstock Road and Roger Murphy shared an insightful message on ‘Choices’. Roger is the missioner for the week and is joined by escape artist Paul Woodman. The men will get another good meal at their Men’s Breakfast which will be hosted by ‘Seasons’.

Rector, Revd Ken Higgins said, “So far the week has exceeded our expectations. We are really delighted with the numbers at all of the events and the age range of the folk coming along. We have had lots of people make recommitments.”
