Bible Week begins tonight

Do come along to our 10th annual Bible Week which begins tonight in Willowfield Church, Belfast, at 7.45 pm.

The Bible Week is four nights of Bible teaching, worship, ministry and encouragement for the Diocese of Down and Dromore and but anyone is welcome to come along.

This year we welcome our first Scot and Presbyterian – Revd Dr Iain Provan, Marshall Sheppard Professor of Biblical Studies at Regent College, Vancouver, and an ordained minister in the Church of Scotland.

Iain will take as his theme: The Big Picture: Reading the Bible for All That’s There, and will help us to understand the whole Bible “as one Great Story in which we are supposed to live our lives.”

Dr Provan has a distinguished academic career and is the author of numerous essays, articles and several books. Find out more at this link.

Music

As well as the Bible teaching, music is a very important part of the event and this week we will be led by several worship teams in a mix of styles.

Another musical highlight will be a vibrant performance from ‘Kerygma, The Good News Choir’ on Friday evening, 2 September.

Prayer

Prayer ministry will be available towards the end of each evening at the front of the church. Please avail of the opportunity to receive prayer for yourself or someone known to you. The Prayer Team are trained, experienced, discreet and considerate. Most importantly, they will themselves have spent time in prayer before the evening begins.

Come!

Please join us in Willowfield each evening at 7.45 pm. As we said above, although the Bible Week is organised by the diocese, anyone is welcome to come along and there is no charge.
