Outreach at the Olympic Games
With the Olympic Games under way in Rio de Janeiro, the Bible Society of Brazil is taking the opportunity to ensure that God’s Word is heard among the tens of thousands of people who will compete or attend.
In partnership with Gospel Publishing Mission, the Bible Society is planning to distribute 150,000 Scripture booklets during the Olympics. This is a unique opportunity to place God’s Word with people from many different parts of the world. The plan is to distribute 75,000 copies of Rio!, a booklet for young people and adults which uses Scripture to tell of God’s ‘ultimate challenge’, the race of life. Also being distributed are 75,000 copies of Rio Fun!, a Scripture–based colouring book for children.

For the staff and their partners as they undertake this project, and pray for those who will receive these special publications.
Ask for God’s favour upon them, that they will have opportunities to share about Jesus and speak words of truth into the lives of many people.
Pray in faith that God will use these little booklets to draw people to Him as they take them away and read them.
Pray for all the Christian agencies and churches who will take the opportunity to reach out during the Olympic games, may God use them greatly to bring glory to His name and new life to many.
