Amazing amount raised at Big Festive Fry

Charlene’s Project 6th Big Festive Fry was held last Saturday and as in previous years was attended by people from all over Northern Ireland. Over 800 fries were served on the day and an amazing £25,000 raised for the work of Charlene’s Project in improving health in Uganda and Guatemala. Already as a result of the money raised, all the children in Kahara Primary School have had medical examinations and treatment and an outreach medical clinic has been held in that same community.

“We are just so thankful for the amazing support of businesses and friends in providing all the food for the event” said Dickie Barr, Charlene’s Dad. “We had an amazing team of over 50 helpers to make the event happen. But we could never ever adequately thank all the folk who came and enjoyed the Big Festive Fry. Their support and their generosity is what keeps Charlene’s dreams alive. Together we are  creating better futures for those that Charlene’s Project supports”.

The provisional date for Charlene’s Project 7th Big Festive Fry is Saturday 16th December 2017. Certainly that is a date to put in your 2017 diary now.
