Taking the No Limits Challenge for Life Guards!

A team of three intrepid hikers will soon complete the daunting challenge of climbing six mountains over three days to raise vital funds for the Life Guards programme.

Life Guards, a Willowfield Parish Community Association project, has positively

impacted over 3000 children in 27 schools across Belfast, Newtownabbey,

Newtownards and Antrim by teaching kids about the importance of good physical

and emotional health. It is a very interactive and fun programme that has been

warmly received by both the children and teachers in schools.

Laurence Bellew and Luke McCallum from Willowfield, and Jonny Murray from the

Ulster Temple, will today complete an epic challenge that involves climbing Carrauntoohil,

Co Kerry (1038m which is the tallest peak in Ireland), Mount Errigal (751m) and

Slieve League (601m) in Donegal, finally ending their adventure by climbing

Slieve Donard (850m), Slieve Commedah (767m) and Slieve Binnian (747m).

In total they will travel over 1000 miles and will climb a massive 4751 metres, all to

raise funds to ensure that this programme can continue to change the lives of

children.
