Another brilliant Saturday Night Live!

We had a brilliant night at our Saturday Night Live Christmas Special! Thank you to everyone who came along and took part!

90 people made the journey to Magherally, and it proved to be a great venue, with it’s setting adding that extra Christmas vibe! We had a visit from Santa, our Christmas Jumper competition and the winner of ‘high five the vicar’ competition!

This year we are exploring the Psalms and David McIlroy, youth worker in Saintfield Parish, was our speaker this month. He spoke on Psalm 98 and encouraged us to find true joy in the fact that God came to earth at Christmas so that we could be rescued. Worship was led by the SNL Band.

Thank you to David Palmer and Magherally for hosting us this month, thank you also to Santa for showing up! A big thank you also must go to all those volunteers who help make Saturday Night Live happen, from the sound and visuals to the prayer area, the kitchen and food and those who help set the venue up, welcome and host. We have a really great team!

Saturday Night Live runs bi–monthly, it’s purpose is to provide a place for youth groups form across the diocese to come together to worship, pray, have Bible teaching, enjoy food and have fun! It is open to any group within the diocese, it would be great to have you along!

Our next SNL is on the 3 February at 7.30 pm in St Donard’s Parish Church Belfast.
