Mission and training opportunities in 2018

We want to share some mission and training opportunities either coming up at the start of the year or with submission deadlines in January.

We continue to train and release Diocesan Readers and Diocesan Evangelists. For both roles we suggest you chat to your rector first as they must recommend you. Find out more here.Closing date for the 2018–20 Reader course is 11 January 2018.

Youth

For ages 16+, there’s a chance to join the DDYC Albany Mission Trip where you will help at Beaver Cross Camp in New York State. Find out more and download an application form here.Closing date for applications is 12 January 2018.

66 Books, 1 Message is a one–off event to take teenagers through the Bible run by Theology Ireland and hosted in St Elizabeth’s, Dundonald on 19 January.

Welcome

The diocese ran some very successful Welcome Training in 2017 and we’re keen to help any parish that wants to become a more welcoming place. Please contact our Diocesan Development Officer, Andrew Brannigan at the first opportunity so that he can put you in the diary: andrew@downanddromore.org.
